Summer Programme 2022 – Fun and Games

The Summer Programme will again run across three consecutive weeks in July and August and we are planning a spectacular range of activities.

In 2021, over 140 children, aged between 8-15, attended the three-week programme. Daily, up to 80 kids participated in activities ranging from indoor and outdoor games, jewellery making, t-shirt designing, mini-Olympics, dance classes and much more!  The food provided by the programme was “fantastic,” according to one of last year’s participants.

In addition, there were group trips to Go Ape in Battersea Park, Chessington World of Adventures and the beaches and rides at Adventure Island in Southend.

Supporting those leading the programme were the parish’s Youth Group. The group assisted with day-to-day tasks and running the various activities, as well as generally offering support and encouragement to the younger children throughout the programme.

The Summer Programme will again bring together children from the local community, from different schools and from different backgrounds to have fun, make new friends and grow in confidence.

This year the annual summer fair, taking place on 11th June 2022 will be fundraising for this amazing cause. We hope to see many of you there.

The dates for the Summer Programme are 25 July – 12 August and we encourage early sign-up as places will be limited.  For more information, please contact the parish office.
