What is confirmation?
The meaning is in the name – it is publicly confirming or embracing promises made at your baptism.
Confirmation marks the point in the Christian journey at which adults or children decide to affirm for themselves the faith into which they were baptised and their intention to live a life of committed discipleship within the church. We invite all children in our parish to consider confirmation when they are in Year 6 (age 10-11). We are also very happy to welcome all adults who would like to take this step of faith.
We hold separate preparation sessions for children and adults in advance of our annual confirmation service in June.
